Stumbling upon various “Projects”, the duo decides to investigate the efficacy of a cure by using a pulse and rhythm-based interface. A lone computer programmer, Anna Schroeder, attempts to find the cure with her trusty supercomputer-companion HAL.
Set in 205X, a mysterious disease called the “Tokyo Flu” has been ravaging the world. The partnership between Vitamin Games and Top Hat Studios will provide the resources and means for the addition of a new story mode and campaign to the game, on top of pre-existing single levels. Mirror 2 Project XĪ cacophony of lights, music, pulses and blocks, Project Arrhythmia features tight bullet-hell style gameplay where up to 4 players in local co-op must navigate their way through evolving scenes and obstacles, all timed to the beat. If the player fails to avoid an obstacle, Nanobot will lose one of three hit points. Each obstacle is timed to level’s music and player must endure until the level ends. Nano can also dash through them with high speed using space bar. The player moves Nano using arrow keys or joystick and maneuvers around various obstacles that appear on screen. While the game has yet to receive its official Story Mode due to being in Early Access, it features a level editor that allows people to create their own and upload them to the game’s Steam Workshop for others to play. Gameplay of Project Arrhythmia centers around playing as a Nanobot that must be maneuvered through various obstacles that are all timed to music.
